Yutao Tang – Short Biography

Yutao Tang is an Associate Professor with the School of Artificial Intelligence, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He received a B.Sc. degree in Applied Mathematics from Harbin Engineering University in 2009, and a Ph.D. degree in Operations Research and Cybernetics under the supervision of Professor Yiguang Hong from the Institute of Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2014. He was a Lecturer (2014–2018) and an Associate Professor (2018–2020) with the School of Automation, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

Professor Tang's research interests are in the area of nonlinear systems and control, distributed computing, robotics, and machine learning. More specifically, he is interested in designing and analyzing distributed coordination algorithms for nonlinear multi-agent systems. His PhD thesis work was focused on abstraction and coordination of nonlinear multi-agent systems.
